August 20, 2020, Valeda Rx Specialty Pharmacy has completed re-accreditation with ACHC!

Valeda Rx is once again proud to share an accreditation update! Valeda Rx proudly announces we have achieved re-accreditation through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for Specialty Pharmacy services. Accreditation by ACHC reflects our organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care.

Effective July 1, 2020, Valeda Rx Specialty Pharmacy has become accredited with URAC!

With the addition of URAC accreditation, Valeda Rx is now dual accredited with both ACHC & URAC, which exemplifies our commitment to quality and excellence. To qualify for dual accreditation means that we are providing the highest level of quality in our clinical support and patient care services.

URAC’s Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation helps specialty pharmacies position themselves and demonstrate their value in delivering specialized clinical services. Many payers and manufacturers recognize the URAC Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation as a key differentiator and independent validation of quality – often including this accreditation as a requirement to participate in their network.

The URAC-accredited specialty pharmacy:

  • Provides therapy-specific patient management services

  • Promotes safety and accuracy in dispensing practices

  • Qualifies all medication distribution processes for appropriate temperature ranges

  • Provides 24/7 patient and prescriber support

  • Complies with foundational standards on risk management, consumer empowerment, and performance management

  • Reports annual performance measures to URAC
